Panther Creek State Park

Panther Creek is a rustic park located on the Morristown side of Cherokee Lake.  The 1,400 plus acres representing the park consists of mostly wooded, rolling terrain.  For more information call the park office at 423-587-7046 or visit,

The park is located in the Hamblen County community of Panther Springs, one of the area’s oldest settlements.  Pioneers from North Carolina and the older Watauga Settlement in East Tennessee arrived at the “Springs” around 1784.

Next Meeting Date
Hello everyone, It was brought to our attention that April 1 is not only April Fools Day but also Maundy Thursday. Many of our members are planning to attend these services. Therefore, the April meeting has been rescheduled to Thursday, April 8th, 6:30pm at the Rose Center. We have Bob McAnally as the presenter for that evening. Sorry for any inconvenience this might have caused anyone. See ya all at the next meeting. April 8th. 2010 at 6:30pm-8:30pm. Rose Center, Morristown, Tennessee, the Rose Center is located at 442 W 2nd North Street, Morristown, TN 37814 (diagonally across from the county court house).
